تتناول هذه الورقة أحد أهم الأصول غير الملموسة التي تساهم في نجاح وفاعلية المنظمات بشکل عام، ومنظمات الأعمال على وجه الخصوص، وهي الکفاءات أو الجدارات Competencies القيادية التي تمتلکها القيادات العليا. وتقوم الورقة بتحليل وفحص الکفاءات القيادية التي لعبت دورا فارقا في نجاح التحول الاستراتيجي، حيث تمثل هدف الورقة في استخلاص الکفاءات والجدارات القيادية المشترکة التي تتوافر في الرؤساء التنفيذيين الذي استطاعوا إحداث نتائج وتحولات فارقة في الشرکات العالمية. وقد اعتمدت الورقة على المنهج الاستطلاعي الکيفي في تحليل المعلومات المتاحة عن عينة مختارة من 10 شرکات عالمية کبرى نجحت في إحداث تحولات استراتيجية بها. وقد تم تجميع المعلومات من خلال الحالات المنشورة عن هذه الشرکات في قواعد بيانات الحالات العملية، فضلاً عن بعض المصادر الإضافية. واستند منهج الدراسة على استخدام أسلوب تحليل الموضوعات Thematic Analysis، الذي يعتمد على فحص المعلومات المتوافرة، واستخلاص الکفاءات والجدارات الخاصة بالرؤساء التنفيذيين للشرکات المختارة. وتمثلت أهم نتائج الدراسة في التوصل إلى خمس (5) جدارات وکفاءات عامة تتوافر في الرؤساء التنفيذيين الذين يحققون تحولات ناجحة في شرکاتهم وهي: التوجه بالإنجاز، القدرة على تنمية الآخرين، القدرة على تکوين وإدارة فرق عمل فعالة، القدرات الذهنية التحليلية، الثقة بالنفس. وقامت الدراسة بمناقشة هذه الکفاءات، ومقارنتها مع الأدبيات البحثية، واستخلاص الدلالات النظرية والتطبيقية لها.
The current paper focuses on the leadership competencies of CEOs which represent one of the most critical intangible assets that contribute to the success of organizations in general and of business organizations in specific. The paper examines and analyzes the competencies of CEOs that played a great role in the effectiveness and success of strategic transformation occurred in organizations led by those CEOs. The objective of this paper is to extract the most critical competencies among successful CEOs. The paper used exploratory qualitative design to analyze 10 published cases of worldwide business organizations that succeed in their strategic transformation initiatives. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The paper concluded that there are five (5) competencies owned by CEOs that contributed to the success of strategic transformations in selected business organizations, which are: achievement orientation, developing others, effective team management, analytical thinking and self-confidence. Finally, the paper discusses the theoretical and practical implications of the derived leadership competencies.
