The study aimed to identify adaptive leadership and its role in crisis management within organizations, employing a correlational analytical survey method and using a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection. A simple random sample of 130 individuals with experience in leading organizations, specifically retired members of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Association, was selected. The study concluded that the level of practicing adaptive leadership in organizations was high, with key practices including revealing problem dimensions and solving them through the availability of experienced and knowledgeable human resources, benefiting from feedback to achieve organizational learning, and diagnosing future challenges and opportunities using scientific methods and strategies. The application of crisis management in organizations was also found to be at a high level, with significant practices such as documenting crises to build cumulative experiences for leaders and employees, learning from the lessons of various crises to prevent future ones, and providing appropriate capabilities for a quick response to different crises. The study found a statistically significant impact of practicing adaptive leadership on the application of crisis management in organizations. Several recommendations emerged from the study, including that leadership should employ the reciprocal relationship between them and the employees by understanding their emotions and feelings to support adaptive creative performance during times of uncertainty and ambiguity. Furthermore, adaptive leadership should provide efficient and accurate early warning systems for crises through the optimal use of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, to observe indicators and address their causes.
